The Role
As our Fundraising Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind Saba Relief’s fundraising growth and innovation. Working closely with the CEO and trustees, you’ll lead the development and delivery of our new income generation strategy inspiring a culture of philanthropy, creativity, and community connection.
You will oversee a small but dedicated team of fundraisers and volunteers, building strong relationships across mosques, schools, businesses, community groups, and major donors. You’ll also design and deliver creative national campaigns, events, and digital initiatives that maximise supporter engagement and income.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute Saba Relief’s fundraising strategy, aligned with our 5-year growth plan.
- Lead on the design and delivery of innovative fundraising campaigns, events, and appeals (Ramadan, Qurbani, Emergencies, etc.).
- Identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, corporate partners, and institutional supporters.
- Build, lead, and motivate a high-performing fundraising team and volunteer network.
- Strengthen and diversify income streams through digital fundraising, community giving, and partnerships.
- Manage budgets, track income targets, and report performance to the CEO and trustees.
- Champion compliance and best practice in line with Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator standards.
- Represent Saba Relief externally at events, conferences, and media opportunities.
About You
You are a dynamic and strategic fundraiser who thrives on building relationships and delivering tangible impact. You’ll bring creativity, resilience, and leadership to drive growth along with a deep empathy for Saba Relief’s mission and the people we serve.
Essential skills and experience:
- Proven success in developing and delivering multi-channel fundraising campaigns.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to engage donors, partners, and communities.
- Experience managing teams and volunteers to deliver ambitious targets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and networking abilities.
- Sound understanding of charity fundraising regulations and governance.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a faith-based or international development charity.
- Knowledge of Yemen or Middle Eastern humanitarian contexts.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage donor relationships.
